The Blended Paediatric First Aid (RQF) course has been specifically designed to meet the criteria set by the Department for Education’s EYFS Framework. The Framework requires all early years providers in England to have at least one person with a current and full paediatric first aid certificate to be on the premises and available at all times when children are present.
This paediatric course is delivered over 12 hours and includes online learning, theory and practical assessments.
Candidates must complete the e-learning modules before attending the practical day and can do this at a time convenient to them. Access to the online content will be given 4 weeks prior to the practical day. During the classroom-based learning candidates will be assessed on the practical elements and are required to complete two multiple choice examinations.
Upon successful completion and examination, candidates will be issued with an e-certificate that can be downloaded and printed at home/work. This qualification is valid for three years, however HSE guidelines recommend that first aiders undertake annual refresher training to ensure they remain competent to perform their role. Once three years has passed candidates must attend another paediatric course to maintain their qualification.
Day 1 of this course is completed using an online platform that incorporates ultra-high quality video production and fully immersive quizzes and activities.
Day 2 is delivered at our training centre in Standish.
Day 2 of this course can be delivered at your workplace for groups between 6 and 12. Please contact us for more information.
