Once qualified, holders of the First Aid at Work certificate can be used as First Aiders in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. The First Aid at Work course is run over 3 days and includes theory and practical activities.
Over the 3 days candidates will be assessed on the practical elements and are required to complete two multiple choice examinations that will be taken at the end of day 1 and day 3.
Upon successful completion and examination, candidates will be issued with an e-certificate that can be downloaded and printed at home/work. This qualification is valid for three years, however HSE guidelines recommend that first aiders undertake annual refresher training to ensure they remain competent to perform their role. Once three years has passed candidates can attend a blended re-qualification course to maintain their qualification.
Please note that we also offer catastrophic bleeding as an optional topic for those who feel it is deemed appropriate (please contact us for more information regarding this).
This course is delivered at our training centre in Standish.
We can deliver this at your workplace for groups between 6 and 12, please contact us for more information.
