The Level 3 Award in First Aid at work (RQF) requalification course allows first aiders to renew their first aid at work qualification. All requalifying first aiders must have previously completed a First aid at work course and must provide a copy of a valid certificate upon booking.
This requalification course is delivered over 12 hours and includes theory and practical assessments.
During the classroom-based learning candidates will be assessed on the practical elements and are required to complete two multiple choice examinations.
Upon successful completion and examination, candidates will be issued with a First aid at Work e-certificate that can be downloaded and printed at home/work. This qualification is valid for three years, however HSE guidelines recommend that first aiders undertake annual refresher training to ensure they remain competent to perform their role. Once three years has passed candidates must attend another requalification course.
