This course is suitable for those requiring the minimum first aid training in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations.
This one-day course is delivered within a relaxed atmosphere that is designed to promote confidence and includes a combination of theory, online and practical activities.Candidates must complete the e-learning modules before attending the practical day and can do this at a time convenient to them. Access to the online content will be given 4 weeks prior to the practical day. During the classroom-based learning candidates will be assessed on the practical elements and are required to complete a multiple-choice examination.
Upon successful completion and examination, candidates will be issued with an e-certificate that can be downloaded and printed at home/work. This qualification is valid for three years, however HSE guidelines recommend that first aiders undertake annual refresher training to ensure they remain competent to perform their role. Once three years has passed candidates must attend another Emergency first aid at work course to maintain their qualification.
Please note that we also offer catastrophic bleeding as an optional topic for those who feel it is deemed appropriate (please contact us for more information regarding this).
2.5 hours of this course is completed using an online platform that incorporates ultra-high quality video production and fully immersive quizzes and activities.
The remaining 4 hours of this course is delivered at our training centre in Standish.
