Managing safely is designed for managers and supervisors in any sector and in organisations of all sizes. It aims to equip candidates with the knowledge and tools to tackle the safety and health issues they are responsible for and bring them up to speed on the practical actions they need to take to keep themselves, the public, their colleagues and employees safe.
The course covers the following modules:
- Assessing risks
- Controlling risks
- Understanding responsibilities
- Understanding hazards
- Investigating incidents
- Measuring performance
At the end of day 3 candidates are required to complete a multiple choice exam and submit a risk assessment project putting into practice what they have learnt.
Upon successful completion, examination and submission of their risk assessment project, candidates will be issued with an e-certificate that can be downloaded and printed at home/work. This qualification has no expiry date but a one-day Managing safely refresher course is available to delegates who have completed this course and wish to refresh their knowledge and keep up-to-date with current legislation.
This course is delivered via a virtual platform so it is essential that you have:
- Microsoft Teams
- A good standard of internet connection to support virtual learning
- A download rate of at least 15/20 mega bits per second
- Chrome and adobe reader
- A working camera that must be kept on at all times
